Accounting

Mr. Janoo Naseeb

M. Naseeb-Ullah Janoo has been teaching Accounting at ICCVDP since year 2006 . He already had four years of work experience in accountancy before joining us.

He holds a BSc (Hons.) in Accounting and a P.G.C.E (Business Education).

He has started a beginner’s course in Arabic.

“Teaching is not static. An educator needs to be reflective as no two learners have the same need. Hence, research must be an ongoing process.”

Mr Rusmally Shameem

Shameem Rusmaully has been teaching Accounting at ICCVDP since year 2006. He already had some experience in consultancy before joining us .

He holds a BSc (Hons.) in Accounting with Finance.

Mr Sookeeah Shakeel

Sheik Shakeel Sookeeah has been teaching Accounting at ICCVDP since 2005. He holds a BSc (Hons.) in Finance and an MSc (Hons.) in Financial Management.

He has the firm intention to complete a PhD in the years to come.

Mr. Rassan Nasheeb (Head of Department)

Nasheeb Rassan has been teaching Accounting at ICCVDP since year 2005. He already had one year of experience as an ERP Analyst and Programmer before joining us.

He holds a BSc (Hons.) in Accounting with Information Systems as well as an Advanced Diploma in Life Coaching.

He is the Head of the Accounting Department and has been appointed as Examiner by the University of Cambridge.

“In this new technological era, teaching goes beyond books and the classroom. As educators, we need to introduce our students to the concept of E-Learning, E-books, Educational Forums, Digital Learning material and so on – which implies hard and continuous work for the teacher as well.”

Mrs Dowlut Shaheen (Head of department)

Qualification: BA(Hons) Fine Arts with Education

Having worked as Art & Design teacher at St Patricts College for 10 years. I joined ICCVI in 2005. Art & Design is a subject which is promoted by the school.

Mr ACKBURALLY Muhammad Ali Ibrahim

Mr. Ackburally Muhammad Ali Ibrahim has been teaching Art and Design at ICC Belle Rose for the past 16 years and has now joined the staff of ICCVDP this year, 2017.

He has been a student at ICCPL, and holds a Teacher's Diploma in Visual Arts, and a Bed Hons. in Visual Arts.

Mr Zmanay Zeyn

Zeyn Zmanay has been teaching Biology at ICCVDP since year 2007.

He holds an BSc (Hons.) inBiology and a P.G.C.E.

Before joining us , he had worked for one year as Trainee at the MSIRI and for two years as Sales Rep. at Ducray Lenoir.

Miss Jahangeer Shaheen (Head of department)

I embarked upon teaching just after graduating in Biology with E.V.S at the University of Mauritius. In 2004, I started to work at City College where I taught Integrated Science at form I to III level. I also taught biology at form IV to VI level. 

I am the Head of Department of Biology and  I have completed my final year of the PGCE course.

Business Studies

Mr Hishaam Meerun

Mr Meerun Hishaam has been teaching Business Studies at ICCVDP as from 2017 after acquiring one year experience as auditor in a private sector.

He holds a BSc (Hons.) in Management and a P.G.C.E in Business Education. He is also the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award holder

Mrs Nowbuth Shaweenaaz (Head of department)

Sharweenaaz Heerah-Nowbuth has been teaching Business Studies at ICCVDP Since 2005.

She holds a BSc (Hons.) in Management with specialisation in Marketing Management as well a Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A).

She is one of our four Section Leaders.

She is also part-time lecturer at the YK Business School and Marketing Coordinator at the State Bank of Mauritius.

Chemistry

Mr Mohammad Wakhil Abdoolla Cassim

Mohammad Wakhil Abdoolla Cassim has been teaching Chemistry at ICCVDP since year 2014.

He holds an BSc(Hons.) in Chemistry. He has already enrolled on an M.Phil/PhD Research. One of his articles entitled ‘Theoretical Investigation on Tuberculosis Drugs’ awaits publication. In 2012, he won the Best Poster Award during the International Conference on Pure and Applied Chemistry (ICPAC).

Mr Ahsun Samiroodeen (Head of Department)

Samiroodeen Ahsun has been teaching Chemistry at ICCVDP since year 2005.

He holds an MSc in Chemistry.

He is the Head of the Chemistry Department.

Before joining us , he was a researcher for one year at the University of Mauritius and the MOI. He has published articles which have appeared in international journals like the Journal of Chemical Society and the National Ocean Science Forum. Presently, he is also a part-time Lecturer at the Open University and a Resource Person for the M.E.S.

He is also a member of the Royal Life Saving Society.

Computing

Mrs Yearoo Sheila

Sheila Bibi Yearoo has been teaching Computing at ICCVDP since year 2006. She was Trainee Software Developer at the Mauritius Telecom and Junior Software Developer at Air Mauritius before joining us.

He holds a BSc (Hons.) in Computer Science with Multimedia and a P.G.C.E.

Mr Amahnoollah Beebeejaun

Amahnoollah Beebeejaun has been teaching Design and Technology at the ICCVDP since April 2013. However, he already had seven years of teaching experience when he joined us.

I have been working at ICCVDP since 2005 and been teaching Design and Textiles. The program of Design and Textiles prepares students for an engrossed study of the fashion industry covering the entire gamut of processes from textile making, designing, production and marketing. This is designed to suit creative individuals to excel in the field of their natural talent.

The 2 year program aims to explore the fashion industry right from the process of creating a garment from design to production, the aesthetic aspects of display and marketing.
The curriculum includes subjects like fashion illustration and elements of art which give a strong base in sketching and designing .Where as the subjects like pattern making, garment construction and apparel production will expertise students to handle any kind of project in the fashion sector .Also the market knowledge secured through subjects like merchandising and sales promotion helps the students to compete anywhere in the field of textiles and fashion to enhance the fashion business. In a nut shell, the entire course will help them to become successful entrepreneurs.

Mr. Ahmed Naïm Mowla (Head of Department)

Mr. Ahmed Naïm Mowla has been teaching Economics and Business Studies at ICCVDP  since year 2007. But he had been teaching at the secondary level for four years before joining us in 2007. He also has work experience as an economist at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He holds a degree in Economics and Mathematical Statistics (excelled as university topper in Maths). He also holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA).

He is a part time lecturer at the YK Business School in Economics, Mathematics and Statistics.

Mrs. Salima Buxoo

Mrs. Salima Buxoo joined ICCVDP in January 2021. 

She is holder of a BSc (Hons) Economics and Finance. She is also holder of an MSc in International Finance and is currently enrolled for a PGCE.

Mr Allear Iqbal (Head of Department)

Iqbal Alleear has been teaching French Main and Sub at ICCVDP since year 2005. He already had eleven years of teaching experience when he joined us.

He is the Head of the French Department.

He holds a Maîtrise de Lettres Modernes and a DESF (3eme dégré) [option Institutions Politiques].

He has authored several articles and has also served as advisor on communication matters at the Ministry of Social Security.

Mrs Dusmohamed Ghazala

Ghazala Ishrat Dusmohamud has been teaching French Main and Sub at ICCVDP since year 2010.

She holds a B.A (Hons.) in French as well as an M.A in French, with specialisation in Sociolinguistics.

She has authored two publications namely,

HSC French Model Essays, [EOI] and L’univers des contes et Fables [EOI].

Shabneez Dookhy has been teaching Mathematics at ICCVDP since year 2009.

Mrs Jumoorty Suraya

She holds a BSc (Hons.) in Mathematics with Computer Science and a P.G.C.E.

before joining us in 2006, she worked for one year at the Ministry of Education in the Planning & Policy Department. She also formed part of the editorial panel for the report ‘Teachers for the Future: Meeting teacher shortages to achieve education for all – the case of Mauritius’.

Housna Dulloo has been teaching Arabic at ICCVDP since year 2009. But she already had some teaching experience at secondary level when she joined us.

Mrs Kheerdali Rubina

Mrs Kheerdali Rubina has joined ICCVDP in 2007. She holds a Certificate in Physical Education and B.A in English.

She is also a first aid trainer and will be enrolling for B.ed in English soon.

Mr Domun Mohammad Rabbani (Head of Department)

Mohammad Rabbani Domun has been the Physical Education coach for boys at ICCVDP since year 2005.

He holds:

BSc in Educational and Instructional technologies.

License to organise inter-college badminton tournament for zone 1

License to organise to inter college  X Cross- Country for regional and national level.

He is a Gold Award holder and an Award Leader. He is also a certified trainer in First Aid.

Miss Ameerah Kausmally

After 8 years of teaching experiences as a Physical educator at ICCVDP, Miss Ameerah Kausmally has been teaching Psychology at ICCFVI since year 2015. She holds a B.A (Joint) in Psychology and Sociology as well as a PGCE in Social Sciences. She intends enroll on a Masters In Education Program.

Faizal Mumtaz Ali Ammeer has been teaching Sociology at the ICCVDP since year 2011. But he already had 21 years of teaching experience at the secondary level before joining us .

Mrs Dildarkhan Sehla (Head of Department)

Sehla Dildarkhan has been teaching Sociology at the ICCVDP since year 2006. She is also a professional Counsellor. She has worked at the NPCC as Productivity Executive and as Research Assistant at the M.G.I. She is now also a Part Time Lecturer at the YK Business School.

She holds an M.A in Sociology.

She is the Head of the Sociology Department.

Travel & Tourism

Mr Fokeer Zyad (Head of Deparment)

Zyad Fokeer has been teaching Travel and Tourism at ICCVDP since year 2012. He already had two years experience as educator at secondary level before joining us in . Prior to that, he worked as Hotel Manager for two years.

He holds a BSc (Hons.) in Tourism and Hospitality Management, an M.B.A in Travel and Tourism and is presently completing a Masters in Education.

Mrs Faraknaaz Essmallgee

Miss Faraknaaz Essmallgee had more than 7 years experience before joining ICCVDP in January 2017.

She is holder of a Bsc (Hons) Tourism and Hospitality Management and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education . She also has an MBA in Tourism Management.

She is currently a part time lecturer in Business Education at the MIE.

Mr. Shakeel Benzedid Foondon has started teaching at ICCVDP in January 2017. Prior to this, he already had two years teaching experience in secondary schools and has also taught in private institutions.

Mr. Shakeel Foondon is a holder of a Bachelor's Degree BSc (Hons) in Tourism and Hospitality Management and also a holder of a Master of Business Administration Master's Degree.
